Also, please can I ask that you arrive in good time and don’t leave it to the last 5 minutes before Mass starts to be seated. Thank you

Dear Friends,

The Lord reassures each and every one of us, that we are never alone, and He is always with us, by our side. As Christians we must not keep this faith and truth to ourselves, but rather, we are all required to share this faith and truth with everyone.

St. Paul reiterated the Lord’s call to all of us. This week has been a busy week, we are fast approaching 19th July and the achievement of the England Football team cannot go unmentioned. Good News can spread quickly if we want it too.

Returning to mass, being nourished by His Word and His Sacraments allows us to fulfil our spiritual needs as well as our bodily needs, livestreaming is not the same as physically attending mass and receiving the eucharist in person. Returning to the pre-coronavirus norm is necessary, no broadcast is comparable to personal participation or can replace it. Sadly, the longer we are virtual participants the more we risk becoming a distanced believer from a personal and intimate encounter with God.

If I can ask you all to spread some more Good News that our Church is safe … with an increased desire to meet the Lord, to be with him, to receive him and to bring him to our brothers and sisters with the witness of a life full of Faith, Love and Hope.

We are very blessed to have such a strong Parish which has been evidenced from the last 7 months. As we explain to the Children during First Holy Communion, you all are the Church, not the Priest, not the Deacon, you are. (CH UR CH)

May God be with us always, and may He strengthen each and every one of us, that we may be ever faithful to Him.

God Bless
