Dear Parishioners,
Welcome to Fr Kevin Gradwell.
May I welcome Fr Kevin to St Mary’s, Grantham and wish him as much joy and happiness that I have had during my five years here. It has been a joy serving the people of the Parish and indeed the wider town where I have felt very much at home. Thank you very much all – for your kindness over the years. I wish Fr Kevin all the best and cannot express how delighted I am he is succeeding me here and I know you will be blessed in him and through him.

The End of a Chapter at St Mary’s Grantham.
A Message From The Parish To Father Chris.
Today 16th September , as a Parish, we say “Goodbye” to our dear friend and Parish Priest for the last 5 years Canon Christopher O’Connor – more affectionally known to us all as Father Chris. Fr Chris will be moving to the wonderful Parish of “Our Lady of Victories” in Market Harborough, and as a Parish we wish him all the best and congratulate him on his new appointment.
Not only has Fr Chris served the Lord with gladness tirelessly, faithfully and with great compassion and love for his flock in Grantham, now the day dawns on the next chapter in his life and as a Parish, we are going to miss him greatly. We as a parish just a few weeks ago had the greatest honour of celebrating Father Chris 25th Anniversary since his Ordination, May God continue to bless him and watch over him and may God grant him peace now and always, he has been a true friend to us all, we all have our own personal memories of his love and dedication which we will treasure. Thank you for sharing your time and life with us.
Below is a picture of Father Chris on his 25th Anniversary celebration, along with his first baptism wearing the Stole presented to him by our local school, which the children handmade for him.It contains all the children’s fingerprints at the school in paint which look like flowers going up the Stole.
