Dear Parishioners

It is with great sadness that this Thursday Father Kevin leaves us whilst he returns to Manchester for treatment. At the beginning of December Father injured himself from a fall on the ice and following tests, has been told his cancer has returned. We do pray that Father receives the very best medical treatment in Manchester and gets well soon with the support of his family and grandchildren close by.

O Jesus, our great High Priest, Hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priest, Father Kevin. Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life.

In the meantime, please pray that as a Parish full of love and support for one another, we can continue to keep our Church doors open.

We are blessed to have such a supportive network of Priests in our Diocese with Father Michael Bell, our Dean in Oakham Father Stephen Dye who has been celebrating the funeral masses of those recently departed in our parish and, is always on hand to offer me guidance and support. Father Michael at Newark who has helped with the First Communion Masses and continues to help us celebrate weekday Masses. Father David Bowler and Father Richard Edey the Benedictine Hermits from Elston and Father Chris and Father Anthony who are always there at the end of the phone.

In order to maintain the midweek and weekend Masses, the following Clergy have kindly offered to help;

Saturday and Sunday;    Benedictine Hermits, Father David Bowler and Father Richard Edey
