Newsletter 4th October 2020

Dear All,

Thank you to all our stewards whose generosity makes it possible for the sacred liturgy to be celebrated with a congregation, and the church to be open for private prayer. Without your help, Catholic life in Grantham in these difficult times would be sorely limited.

There may be rare occasions, for example if a rostered steward is unwell or has a family emergency, when Holy Mass may not be celebrated with a congregation, or the church may not open for private prayer or may have to close earl. I shall try to celebrate Holy Mass every day, either with a congregation when that is possible or behind closed doors when it isn’t.

If you would like a mass celebrated for a particular intention, please, let me know by completing one of the envelopes to be found in the church porch.

SUNDAY MASS OBLIGATION: Please, if you are shielding, vulnerable or ‘bubbling’ with somebody in these categories, refrain from coming to church. It is important that you look after not only your own, but your family’s health. Our bishops have relaxed the rules of Sunday observance and have no intention of reintroducing the obligation to attend Mass until such time as everybody can be safely accommodated in church.

Father Kevin
